What you need CS for if nobody is playing? I remember "your game is shit" , "your devs suck", "speak with your wallet", calling out of players that cpnsume ingame shop stuff, these things hyperboled with social media and helped to create the situation where we are right now.
You just have to look at the twitter accs of some devs and cs people, its crazy what some players write to them... no respect at all. And youtubers have helped to set that ambient imho. The outrage train was big, a lot of people at activision bliizzard were and will be changed.
