This is one of those topics that can be discussed for hours :D to some extent: the purpose of those "elite" rewards is that they are for "elite" players who have earned it. So what about old myth raid items? they can be farmed now too, right?

For elite sets of older expansions I would be ok if they become obtainable, but for some more demanding than just honor marks that can be afk farmed in random BGs. Myth raiding of MoP is easy now, but you at least have to do that exact instance to get the items.

e.g. if a player reaches a specific rating in the current saison, then he can get "better honor marks" for rated pvp wins. With those older elite set items can be bought. The elite sets of the current Xpac should be only available when the next xpac is out. My pov.

I could live with that. I'm highly mog motivated and that set was the only reason I did arenas. I think for the majority of pvpers 1800 was easy but for new players it wasn't. It was harder to get to but they got nothing.

Yes. It felt like more "casual" people played rated pvp in bfa, for the season mount and for the 1800 elite set :) it was a good idea of blizz tbh (some reviving of Arenas and RBG, imho its the same shit since 2006^^). And those are goals achievable by "casual" players

it may not be easy, but reachable :) not like the 2k or 2,2k needed back then in other xPacs

I don't understand like, if you earn the current elite set, why not allow players to get the old ones?

i've read arguments (of players) like: If you see a Priest with S8 Elite set then you know he knew how to play priest in that Season. Since Arena was also about FOTM comps ppl can reason if those players with elite set were better beucase priest was bad in that season etc.
