So you take the shot while the camera is moving slowly into/out of that "ego perspective"?
that is an option for a video or gif. having slower zoom speed also allows the usage of an addon to keybind the zoom of the camera, so you can have any size of your character and are not restricted to the "steps" of zoom with mousewheel

cameraPlus was a cool addon for this, but it is outdated. If I find time i will step into updating it :)
