Trainers, we’ve resolved the issue affecting trades and this feature is available again. We’ve increased the max number of trades per day to 150. This increase will last until Jan 24 at 10am PST to make up for lost time trading and earning XL Candy. Thank you for your patience.

As we continue to explore and add features that facilitate social interaction between players, we expanded our Trust and Safety team to ensure people have a safe and fun experience with Niantic products.

Taking steps towards resuming in person events, we were glad to #meetyououtthere in person at local meetups across the world. We also continued our commitment to providing support in person at Legendary Night in Chicago and Safari Zone in Liverpool, St. Louis and Philadelphia.

The community reaction and feedback around some of the Exploration Bonus changes were a huge learning opportunity for us. One area we’ll be focusing on in the first half of 2022 is improving our communication around confirmed and emerging issues.

In March, we introduced the XM Ambassadors, a group of player advocates who are passionate about the #Ingress Community and connect with Niantic directly to surface feedback and bugs. We look forward to a similar program launching for Niantic Wayfarer in 2022.

Doubling down on our commitment to provide you with fast and high quality support, we expanded our in-app support team this year and cut our overall support response time by 12% compared to 2020. Looking ahead, we'll continue investing in quality and speed to serve you better.
