Now that FPers have not only stopped denouncing ad hoc polymorphism as the OO devil, but embraced it as if it had always been part of FP, they are slowly unbundling the package deals that OO crooks had been peddling with it.

With types in the TaPL sense of the word, isn't metadata discarded after compile time? Isnt one of the main advantages of the MOP to attach additional metatada to objects so behaviour is definef at runtime through reflection?
