Now that FPers have not only stopped denouncing ad hoc polymorphism as the OO devil, but embraced it as if it had always been part of FP, they are slowly unbundling the package deals that OO crooks had been peddling with it.

Unbundling neatly separates chainsaws from flamethrowers, and other effectful or structural components. Better if it splits chainsaws into further parts, to separately reuse engines or chains. Even better to 3D print new custom parts.

In the language wars, reject both OO and FP fanatics. Like Lispers, accept both objects and functions, but more importantly, staunchly defend the right keep and bear metaprograms to mold your abstractions to your problems. Unlike Lispers, embrace types, i.e. precise metadata.
