Verifiable computations on a blockchain can't be cheaper than trusted datacenters: they only add an expensive middle layer to renting the same machines and electricity, while sacrificing any trust or privacy you had. Financial products? Yes. Cloud substitute? Nope.
In the end, the "computation on the cloud" ideas of e.g. http://Plasma.io or http://jarvis.ai seem moronic to me. If you don't need the results part of The Consensus, don't do in on a blockchain.
