Just because your language doesn't statically enforce types doesn't mean your APIs should not be designed with types in mind. Quite the opposite: you should pay MORE attention to types, because the compiler isn't there to pick up the slack.

First you write types as comments; then you invent a type language; you want types for mutation; exceptions; resource ownership; reflection; macros; concurrency; persistence; upgrade strategies; staging; virtualization... more than existing typecheckers can offer.
