I say mandate a Lisp implementation: it's the oldest suitable language, most likely to still exist when the RFC is used 60 years from now.

The only older language, FORTRAN, is not as likely to be as usable to write safe portable parsers now or in 60 years.

And make them recognizable by regex, perhaps like in the NFS RFC, so you can simply run the RFC through grep.
