Please don't create another CLI. I'm begging you. I know it will be fancy & you will use *that* node package that has colors to build it & your tweet will get 121 likes but please don't build it. We're still writing terminal commands like it's 1925. Let's move on. Please.

Can lisp machines do all that? ISTM that GUI and CLI are so different that we essentially can't drive them from the same model/type. Would be very curious in real examples for this (with good result)!

Lisp Machines had a shell-like command line with automatic completion, a GUI, an Emacs variant, Network RPC, in the latter days a Web GUI or two, etc., with macros and reflection so that it was easy to generate all relevant interfaces with minimal boilerplate.
