Is this an unpopular opinion ?
Inheritance is a bad idea and the only reason OOP is still popular because objects are also modules. The popularity of #rust, which has modules but no inheritance is a proof of that.

Really, it's the interaction of inheritance and subtyping that causes most of the issues. Subtyping should be based on properties - what it does, not how it's made.
