One thing I dislike about GitHub reporting 'security vulnerabilities' is that it sells the idea that security is about keeping your systems up to date (ie moving fast) instead of _thinking_ before adding another barely useful gem/package

I'm talking about the default attitude towards dependencies. Wasn't suggesting that we should go full Rambo mode and build everything from scratch.

It also varies from community to community. I'm talking mainly the about JS ones. In JS the daily pain I experience is entirely self-inflicted.
