At the Boston Lisp Meeting I gave a variant of my LambdaConf 2019 talk about lessons going from Lisp to OCaml—to a crowd of Lispers rather than typed FPers. I now think I should go back to Lisp, because I myself can add types to Lisp more easily than macros to OCaml or Haskell.

Maybe I don’t experience fighting because I never had much skin the game (unlike you with ASDF &co). I just write code and publish it. *shrug*

I have skin in the game in the sense of my livelihood depending on Common Lisp, and I don’t feel the fighting either. Maybe I’m a beneficiary of it. Very grateful for all the bruises sweat and tears folks have put and continue to put into keeping CL viable/vibrant.
