I have resolved never to say this accursed phrase "microservices" again. They're services. "Micro" doesn't do any work, it was always about boundaries, not the damn size.

Having to enforce boundaries via HTTP calls just means your programming language lacks the facilities for modularity.

I made a similar point long ago about the utter idiocy of microkernels and "multiservers". If your language supports modularity at compile-time, stupid and expensive enforcement at runtime is redundant. And if it cannot, no amount of stupidity and expense can help you.
