doesn't Lwt have reactive-like streams?

There is Lwt_stream, but it doesn't handle persistence for me, or a good story for many-to-one asynchronous communication (that would be Lwt_mvar), etc. (Also, Lwt smells like it was written by recovering Java programmers rather than functional programmers.)

The essential feature of "asynchronous" is the ability to express many-to-one communications where the "many" update at different times or rates. This is easiest to model in FP using logical timestamps, time-series data, allowing for deterministic merge.

Relevantly, we can also model interactive feedback loops, clocks that tick, etc. by explicitly adding latency within the loop.
