His point isn’t of arrogance it’s of acknowledgment. He’s using comedy to make a broader point, that many in red states are RIGHTFULLY upset to be left out of the strong economic activity in SOME parts of the country (mostly blue) and that Amazon should never have chosen NYC.

if only he were funny

Keep it in context: what he was saying was that they need the same opportunities that exist in blue states. Better paying jobs and big companies setting up shops in red states. This was in regard to Amazon rescinding their offer to NYC.

Uh, that’s called Texas. We are red and have the best mix of food, culture, art and dining in the US. From Austin to Dallas we have no equal. Our economics are superior and we are as red as you can get.

Jealous of what???? So tired of the nonsense. We need to stop this foolishness and hate. Just love one another. Pray for one another. Work together to make our country even better and stronger.

Very sad you actually think this. We are very hard working folks. Ive been to the concrete and asphalt worlds.. visiting some of my dearest friends in California. I was so glad to get home but so enjoyed my time there. I missed the livestock, work, and open land. NOT jealous

His point was about Amazon using ALREADY EXISTING infrastructure and wealthin New York City instead of going to Kansas City or Little Rock and ACTUALLY BUILDING THE CITY UP. He wanted Jeff Bezos to put his money where his mouth is. (Cont.)
