She's not wrong. Illegal aliens undergo NO medical screening. Communicable diseases are 1 of the most dangerous consequence of inadequate immigration controls. ALL media should be reporting on this. The need to control infectious disease is a simple FACT of human biology.

.you (Newsweek) may want to actually inform the public (not inflame) and reference the CDC Feb 2018 report that suggests that all new arrivals be tested for TB, Hepatitis B, and HIV because immigrant populations from SA countries have a much higher risk of being infectious.pic.twitter.com/ciJBR0sdOD

Medical checkup and shots are required before getting a VISA. It helps to limit spread of diseases. She is right.

“US Health Officials say up to 20% of the migrant caravan is carrying antibiotic resistant tuberculosis, 3% are carrying polio and 10% are carrying other serious diseases” Seems like a valid concern.

Yes. As has always been the case, hordes of people from a different country/region can & DO carry diseases/strains that can impact the health of host country citizens. It's also risky for THEM as they are intro'd to diseases & strains for which they haven't immunity. Health 101

But it true. Before getting a VISA, most countries require you to get shots to limit spread of disease. And if these folks are as poor as described, then the possibility that they never got a shot is high.

Don’t act like you know or even understand the Bible. They ran from sure death to where? The middle of no where! Those are settlers not refugees, in the Bible. We are looking at economic migrants trying to jump the line. Law breakers have no diseases?
