The sad thing about @megynkelly is that she probably really doesn't know why black face is racist. Her career Plan was based on working for Roger Ailes and talking about the search for Obama’s birth certificate. The big question: why is she on @nbc?

Here’s a hint Megyn...YOU don’t get to “decide” what’s racist or not! You allow victims of racism to TELL YOU what racism is. Don’t defend, don’t interrupt (yeah, a tough one, I know!), just LISTEN and maybe HEAR this time. The world is larger than what’s inside our heads.

And it still doesn't answer the question, namely when was blackface not racist. The short answer is ‘Always’ so what was I supposed to take from it beyond Kelly is either a racist–and a disingenuous one at that–or stupid?

It’s always been racist. But blackface used as blackface is different than painting your whole face and hands black to be a black character you admire. Everyone knows what ‘blackface’ is. And it’s not the same as being Diana Ross for Halloween.

Sure, but it's still a sticky wicket. If I were a white person I just wouldn't bother. Like a white woman putting on tanner in an effort to look like a native person. Could they do it? Sure? Should they be surprised if someone takes offense? Nope.

It got racist when people like your Parents used it to belittle Black People, to show Blacks as ignorant, stupid, clowns and less than human. It got racist when your Parents used it to lynch Blacks because they were just Blackfaces, not real People.
