Here @CoryBooker George Floyd had a "police emergency" called on him for a medical issue. For some reason this health care problem won't be mentioned, because it does further the overriding object of accusing the police of a racially-motivated killing.

Many mental health facilities for the poor have been closed. Jails are filling the gap. To have expected otherwise was foolish.

First hand knowledge of this. Young man with schizophrenia put in jail instead of being put in treatment.

It’s BECOME a policing problem bc there isn’t enough mental health counseling provided to those in need. The cycle needs to end!Take $ from budget for new hires until the is weeded out. Put that $ into health care, counseling, community outreach, social work, police training.

My fear is that many of the unarmed people who are shot dead also had serious undiagnosed or untreated mental health problems.
