Unfair testing! Marijuana will show up positive for up to 3 months. Cocain heroin and alcohol are out of your system within days. I understand it’s a difficult situation however straight up firing 300 people with no proof that they were actually intoxicated is alarming.

Easily made more fair by testing regularly for cocaine and alcohol.

Why aren’t the unions getting involved in this, they always love a good strike!! You might as well test for sugar use or consumption testing then!!!

You cannot have people operating heavy machinery while intoxicated. This was the right decision.

The question here is: were they intoxicated. No where in the article does it say that. However they allow drivers to break the law by allowing them to drive 100 km/h?

I would strongly advice these people get legal representation.Something does not sound wright. Were all these people intoxicated or was it small quantities that was traced in their system. The use of this substance is legal as long as you are not intoxicated. Trucks only 80km/h.

300? From one agency? 1 or 2 testing positive would make sense. That is too large a number not to question the veracity of the tests conducted....Sounds very suspicious....looks more like a retrenchment disguised as misconduct.
