ABT is becoming a bit desperate, it seems they’re running out of gimmicks. Michelle Dorrance is essentially creating not ballet, on a ballet company. If the dancers were well trained (they’re not) , this style of movement contradicts their training, the result is Injury

Ballet dancers basically have a 100% injury rate. Dancers don't just cushion their landings to mute the noise. They do it to lessen the constant pounding on their joints, which takes a huge toll over time. This piece makes a nice one-off, but it's a terrible idea long term.
