An election near Pittsburgh between a young, D.S.A.-backed candidate and an establishment Democrat embodies the larger, existential battle within the Party as the midterms approach.http://nyer.cm/Y9y6eyQ

The young folks get called "naive" a lot. But isn't it also naive to think that when one of two parties veers to a fascist, oligarchic extreme, America obtains any benefit from trying to "center" in relation to that? The DSAs are pulling Dems back to what USED to be the center.

when you tell the establishment you'd like to run for office the first question is how much money can you raise. It's no wonder DSA is becoming relevant in this climate.

And not because they think you need money to win, but because they want more money for big consultants.

It is time for @Tomperez & @DNC to clearly define what the Democratic Party is all about rather than allow various group attempt to redefine the party.

Or, maybe, the democratic party should actually be democratic, and not dictated by a small handful. What a crazy notion, I know. Fuck you for saying the DNC needs to control who people are "allowed" to vote for. 🖕
