All have been reluctant to speak out, fearing reprisal. But two of the women, Michelle Manning Barish and Tanya Selvaratnam, have talked to @JaneMayerNYer and @RonanFarrow on the record, because they feel that doing so could protect other women: http://nyer.cm/tyCazx7 pic.twitter.com/CxcvtubMGC

Selvaratnam says Schneiderman warned her that he could have her followed and her phones tapped, and both say that he threatened to kill them if they broke up with him. Schneiderman’s spokesperson said that he “never made any of these threats": http://nyer.cm/tyCazx7 pic.twitter.com/9PKjkqkdEb

The women did not report their allegations to the police at the time, but both say that they eventually sought medical attention after having been slapped hard across the ear and the face, as well as choked: http://nyer.cm/tyCazx7 pic.twitter.com/QgU6Ahwxp8

In a statement, Schneiderman said, “In the privacy of intimate relationships, I have engaged in role-playing and other consensual sexual activity. I have not assaulted anyone. I have never engaged in nonconsensual sex, which is a line I would not cross.”http://nyer.cm/tyCazx7

Another woman, a former federal prosecutor, says that Schneiderman made an advance toward her; when she rebuffed him, he slapped her across the face with such force that it left a mark that lingered the next day. She has asked to remain unidentified.http://nyer.cm/tyCazx7

he's a democrat and I just read that 2 of the women who are accusing him said they went for treatment but the police have nothing on file. He has just resigned which does look bad but Cuomo and Gillibrand forced that. I still feel suspicious. It could be another Al Franken thing?

Maybe the timing is just a little too convenient, and maybe somehow it seems ‘fishy’, as someone said. But we either stand with victims or we don’t. @MichelleBarish seems very credible to me. We don’t want our ‘heroes’ to be bad guys, so it’s easy to play the denial game. 👇🏼

But because we refused to believe victims for, oh, since the beginning of time, a world culture of sexual assault, abuse, misconduct, manipulation, control, harassment and coercion became expected. Accepted even. We need to consistently stand by victims.

You don't have to believe a story is true and not paid for because it is printed. This is FISHY! This is a Trump attack on Schneiderman. Don't play into their games. They did this with Franken. They think they can stop the investigations.
