Michelle Wolf’s monologue at the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner—sharp, unflinching, and pointedly unfunny in places—called bullshit on the role laughter has been performing in Trump’s America.http://nyer.cm/kjFkpFf

No one was laughing because she was giving everyone a well deserved middle finger. But even still many were laughing. It was a brilliant 19 minutes, much longer than the usual.... well you know

How amazing that regardless of how obscene and totally demeaning her foul mouthed dialogue was, you can't bring your rag to admit it like others have. Your hatred for Trump has truly destroyed your objectivity and clouded your judgement, that if you ever had any!

Like Colbert before her, she showed journalists up by doing what they are not prepared to: calling SHS a liar. And journos either ignorantly (Mika) or cynically (Haberman) parroting the GOP strawman about an attack on appearances. WHCA completely lame!

Please don't defend or foist sad alibis on us, @NewYorker. Her "monologue" was ridiculous, filthy, embarrassing. It wasn't some enlightened social commentary -- it was stupid and low-brow.

It had a couple valleys, but jesus, a fantastic punch up. Bill Hicks-level evisceration. Her quiet post-joke quips were excellent two-taps.

Not shocking: The most unqualified man a) beat the most qualified woman in the election because he's a man, and b) continuously shows off how unqualified he is ("grab'em by the pussy") and gets a pass, while a female comedian is held to a higher standard than the president.

The thing is that there is absolutely nothing funny about Trump or the people in his White House. The American People are angry and worried and suffering under his Administration.
