Saved you a click - A 1 sentence mention of how black people go to jail for weed before an entire article about how white people get to do cool stuff with it.

The article is almost devoid of any description of what being stoned is like & how long it lasts, except for this lie about leaving you "clear-headed". Lazily equated with normal alcohol use, the correct comparison is with binge drinking.

Why do you think being stoned is like binge drinking?

There are differences, but level of impairment, or maybe "distance from reality" is roughly equivalent, as I recall.

That’s a good definition. I suppose i think there are are too many variables (environmental and “product” to make an accurate comparison. I would agree that a comparison to an aperitif is somewhat misleading.

I haven't smoked marijuana since 1989 (with some law students!), but I understand the newer strains are significantly more powerful than the homegrown of the 1980s.

Yes. I think average strength has stayed the same but you are undoubtedly right re newer strains. I do think people generally cut their cloth etc , like drinking less whisky compared to beer (a crude example)

I suppose it doesn't matter so much if you're a single person or part of a couple, but I get the heebiejeebies thinking of parents with children spending their evenings stoned.

Long-term use of marijuana can eventually cause psychosis. I have no medical training whatsoever, but I wonder why so many people are being diagnosed as "bipolar." @LizCho7 (Tuning in at 11, Bill.)

I think you should pay medical bills for those who become addicted, get lung disease and cancer as well for those who get addicted to higher level drugs! You have NO business lying, "good health" is ridiculous!

Cannabis is only really sublime when one is intoxicated by it while reading Shakespeare or Joyce. Or skiing.
