Assad deserves whatever he gets, and if the strikes ordered by President Trump have the effect of deterring even one other chemical-weapons attack, then we should all be glad. The trouble is, Assad deserves much worse, and he’s not going to get it.http://nyer.cm/QYVeBfj

Syrian regime has killed many more people using conventional weapons. Why do those deaths not deserve a response? There is no military solution to Syria. Only diplomacy offers a possible solution. Cheering militarism is the root of our foreign policy problems.

Check out some of the stuff this guy wrote in 2003. ''You have to understand the Arab mind,'' Capt. Todd Brown, a company commander with the Fourth Infantry Division, said .. ''The only thing they understand is force -- force, pride and saving face.''https://www.nytimes.com/2003/12/07/world/a-region-inflamed-strategy-tough-new-tactics-by-us-tighten-grip-on-iraq-towns.html …

No, the trouble is America is getting more involved in another military conflict, and we know from past experience how well that always turns out.

We should think about creating a #Midas #CorruptLeaders #PenalColony where all are #exiled there to live in #billionaire #luxury - and they have to pay 4 everything - but they can’t leave. Anything they didn’t spend before dying, goes to #widows #orphans #refugees they #looted
