As a survivor of early childhood rape, and other abuse, I thank you for publishing this article and Diaz for writing it. I know how much courage it takes, not only to pierce the shame and PTSD to talk about what happened, but to connect the dots of one's life issues to it.

Another desperate story. It breaks my heart. I was only three when it began. No one helped,I was plagued w/same self-recriminations, doubts, sel-loathing. I have raised three girls, have 6 grandchildren; I look at them wondering why do this to them. Three yrs old, little cherubs.
