“A Quiet Place” is an oblivious, unself-conscious version of Clint Eastwood’s recent movies, which bring to the fore the idealistic elements of gun culture while dramatizing the tragic implications that inevitably shadow that idealism.http://nyer.cm/XNgccOp

Sooooooo...the blind monsters are people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, pro-gun reform/restriction, feminists, "liberal snowflakes", immigrants, the oppressed in general etc. in this scenario??? I don't think that was the intent at all, but I see the potential twisted metaphor.

The gun was the last resort, and featured only in the last 10 mins of the movie. Dont make a big deal out of it.

This film has precisely one gun, that is used precisely once. We see precisely one other person. The house is easily breached, its hardy a fortress. Its derivative of "Signs" and "10 Cloverfield lane" amongst others but a political piece it is not
