        When I was in 5th grade, I wrote #BeverlyCleary a fan letter as part of a school assignment. She wrote me back! I wish I still had that response. I was pleased when my two boys became fans.

        I loved reading and growing up with all the "Ramona the Pest" books. When my daughter went to UC Berkeley she lived in Stebbins Hall, the same co-op where Beverly Cleary lived and met her husband. This made me happy!
