It's an anti-gun mobilization. Anti-gun-violence is a camouflage term. If the left really cared about "gun violence" per se, they'd talk about the urban crime-ridden areas where the vast majority of it occurs, usually in the context of criminals shooting each other.

Urging regulation to stop gun violence is not anti gun, no matter how many times it is said or written. Regulation works in other countries. And people in those countries still enjoy gun use and ownership. There are too many successful examples to ignore.

Trying to fight gun violence by punishing people who don’t commit any is absurd. Google Deerfield, IL gun ban. Not letting it happen nationwide.

Regulation does not punish drivers. Why assume it would punish gun owners? It does not in other countries. A friend of mine in the UK own many guns, despite famously tight regulations. It feels like you are scaremongering.

Google Deerfield, IL gun law just passed.
