Whether Cambridge Analytica’s targeting work actually swayed the outcome of the Presidential election has been a subject of debate—because the firm’s record is spotty, psychographic targeting in political campaigns is a relatively new concept.http://nyer.cm/cwdEQgd

Better than 50% that- either convince them to vote for your guy (not always easy) or for a third candidate that takes that vote out of the running...

Did professor Aleksandr Kogan of Saint Petersburg State University describe psychographics as “not that accurate at the individual level?” That’s dezinformatsiya. The thing is, groups are composed of individuals. If it works on groups, that’s because it works on individuals.

The other thing is, of course, that this is just part of larger field of study that Freud’s nephew Edward Bernays wrote the book on. It’s title is Propaganda. It describes techniques that Chiquita™ has using to win elections in Central America since it was known as United Fruit.

It doesn’t matter. As long as all the stupid people vote for him, he’ll keep getting elected. We need much better education in this country, so we stop doing dumb things. Like invading Iraq.🙄And trying to win a war in Afghanistan.🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Everything digital is new & poorly understood. Which is why Hillary got into trouble with emails. Why Facebook was so easily influenced by Russian hackers, etc, etc, etc.

I haven't read this article yet, but in your article (last week) Antisocial Media, Reddit CEO, Steve Huffman says: "I'm sure Reddit could have swayed this election, this once." Some people are more honest than others...
