Every force in opposition to these kids draws power from a narrative about "the other" and dividing groups so they can be set in opposition. Seeing a movement built around an ethos of "we're in this together, for each other" diminsh their power fills me with much needed hope.

Great article! So grateful that the writer, Margaret Talbot, chose not to use the demeaning term "people of color" in her piece about inclusion. Hope other American media outlets will follow suit & start using balanced lingo that honored all races the way this piece does!
