The #MarchForOurLives was an outcry against violence delivered with a mix of pop sentiment, corporate coöperation, and an awareness of the socioeconomic privilege that allows certain voices to be heard louder than others: http://nyer.cm/cnq8QPv pic.twitter.com/RrtPPJW94F

#LyinRyan is currently occupied doing this THING where it's absurdly apparent that HE'S not even doing it for any reason close to being for the good of the #CommonManMajority!pic.twitter.com/G0d2mlD5NS

And that makes it a very good thing. Their capacity to ‘check their privilege’ is acknowledgement that their choice to speak up should not supplant the voices of the marginalised, but rather, draw attention to it. Well done #MarchForOurLives

Agree, outrage from poorer school districts with less influence may not have had the same support. I’m glad they are making a point of including those who do not have this voice and deal with gun violence on a regular basis.

Oh cut it out. All voices were on display and were heard, loudly and bravely. Stop being so divisive and be thankful.

Actually the #MarchForOurLives was a aggregation of future unemployable Peace & Social Justice Majors seeking their “look at me” 15 Minutes of Fame and are against...well, everything. This had very little to do with #GunControlNow

Or it was an elaborate shit-show built on corprotate money siphoned through Democratic political action groups and dolled up by their propaganda wings in the MSM... All for the purpose of stifling a right by perpetuating a false narrative to it's audience of vocal cult followers.

Why can't you just report that this was a call for action from our leaders and leave out the editorial interpretation "certain voices heard louder than others"?

Great article but why does it state “tens of thousands” rather than “hundreds of thousands” of protesters- crowd size estimated at 800,000!
