You can have 99,999 kids who feel "safety, discipline, and trust" with a rifle but if you have one who feels power with it and that person is unstable then all the good guys with guns in the world aren't going to stop them from inflicting harm.

Really? 99,999 kids pointing down on one other guy who wants to kill others? I know your knowledge of firearms is lacking but, trust me on this one, the guy will be swiss cheese.
-
Love how gun rights advocates always attacks gun control opponents "knowledge" of guns as if that makes their opinion less valid.
-
Yes, it does lessen the validity of the point. Lecturing people on things you don’t know about is a sure fire way to not get your point across. It doesn’t matter what the topic is.
-
I grew up around guns & have also been robbed at gunpoint so I do know something. My point was that anti-gun control people shoot down any argument based on the other guy not being a gun expert. Being an expert with a weapon doesn't make you one on policy or public safety.
-
Then you should have said that, but you are still wrong. We “shoot down” false statements because we are advocates. That’s what advocates do.

These 2 things are not the same, and lumping them together makes one seem worse than it is, and one seem far less dangerous than it is. Only one of these is a sport enjoyed globally, including in high-gun-control countries.pic.twitter.com/ascTw1xyAT

the only legitimate use of an AR-15 is to kill human beings, in large numbers, quickly. and efficiently. That is what it was designed for, and it is exceptionally good at it.

none of those requires an AR-15, and in fact every one of them can be done much better with different firearms. The unique features of an AR-15, or variant, do not enhance its capabilities for any of those.

As a UK resident, this is such an alien and disturbing image. How would people react if in the images, the guns were replaced with samurai katana swords? May have more shock value. Not really judging, just an observation on how norms can differ.

I have no problem with guns on the shooting range or when used for hunting. However, two of the photos clearly show that the young adult either has not been shown or chooses to improperly hold a firearm.

This take was so shitty and ill-timed given today's incident in Maryland that I initially tweeted at you like you were the New York Times. Corrected - unlike your tweet.
