For Trump and Trumpism to be rendered an unnerving but short-lived episode, history will require that millions of men and women who do not ordinarily exercise their franchise—some 60% in off-year elections—recognize the imperatives of citizenship.http://nyer.cm/fyWqkFm

Liberal democracy is fragile. Those who assert that our institutions will withstand the current crisis could very well be wrong. Unspoken rules and norms cannot be magically healed by an election. It will take much more than that.

Democrats outnumber repubs. If you are too lazy to vote, you will get trump (or some trump like creature) again. Please vote.

sure, the impetus to ~save our country~ is on disadvantaged low-income people of color, not on the massive corporate media institutions that delight in entertaining the opinions of unqualified advisors and literal white supremacist. Okay, New Yorker.

It is within the power of American citizens to get rid of Trump and reduce Republican power through the ballot box.

I choose to see the positive. The opposite of this dark period will be light. Those who didn’t think they had a voice r rising up - u can see & feel it. People of color, young people, women. Our democracy will be saved by those who value its promise & need it most. Encourage them

WW2 was won by massive democratic social movement triggered by CIO - we’ll need a movement of ordinary Americans once again to defeat new global authoritarianism

Please, please, please, encourage everyone in your social circle to vote this year. It’s maddening 60% of our nation doesn’t vote. We live in a democracy, it’s is up to US to vote for our representatives. The govt should represent US! WE HAVE THE POWER👊💖
