        Interest in the #oscars is declining because the Best Picture nominated films are generally #Arthouse favorites. I still watch the #oscars out of tradition not excitement. Try shortening the program by limiting the number of televised categories & changing locations

        Maybe if the award recipients would just say "thank you" instead of getting up on stage to read off a list of names. And make stupid noises or cry or try to be funny by reading the "wrap it up" prompt. Ppl are really sick of the awkward, dumb, unfunny, tiresome acceptance speech.

        It’s egocentric masturbation in public. The awards are not about glamor and talent. They are about popularity and flaunting wealth. It’s why so few hold the power (like Weinstein) and so few get funding for real creativity. Remake more BS Hollywood, we stopped caring.
