This article (@TimParksauthor) creates a caricature of the film and then attacks it. No film would survive this type of scrutiny and mocking unless it is a masterpiece of Italian neorealism.

Have you considered the possibility that it's formalist existential absurdism and that your understanding of "entertainment" is actually quite reductive and shallow?

But shouldn’t absurdism avoid being a morality play?

It isn't a morality play. Everyone is ghastly in their own way. There is no moral resolution as such.

Estoy bien enojado con eso de que la prensa izquierdista y los changos no querian ver la evolución del personaje de sam rockwell. Eso , combinado con que supuestamente Black Panther es un evento, me reafirma porque Trump es Potus. Saludos!

That struck me too on a second and third viewing. So I've switched my allegiance to the Shape of Water as the far better film. Don't think McDormand should've run off with that addled ex-deputy.

'Obsession with winning'... ? Read this, on one obvious level, as in the genre of vengeance / revenge, and that's just part of the territory, isn't it ?
