People say you don't understand what love is until you've had a child. Bullshit: http://nyer.cm/cZoAxTP pic.twitter.com/75ogG617u4

I have heard that many, many times. Most women who don't have children will have heard this.

Tired. You don't know what tired is, until you have had a child. Get it right.

No, a childless woman caring for her husband with Alzheimer’s, feeding and bathing him, changing his diapers, getting up at night to chase him down when he wanders and holding him when he gets combative so he won’t hit her, knows nothing about being tired.

That is clearly another point, but okay. I hope you enjoyed that.

Don't need a child to know and experience what love is.

Lots of misguided replies here. "Can't know fear until you've had a child." "Can't know exhaustion until you've had a child." Etc. They're all bullshit. Perhaps you didn't know until you had a child. But you have no basis for generalization.

I’d say that it’s fear you don’t really understand until you’ve had a child.

"Toddlers are A** Holes" by Bunmi Laditan would remind us that raising kids is rough. I love all my kids, but I was plenty ready to stop having them when we did. However, now that the least is 45, we get on fine and they help me in a thousand ways.

intense love and intense rage are often directed at the same subject... just sayin'. they are not mutually exclusive.

I would have to agree. Love takes on a whole new meaning when you have children. Or maybe unconditional love.
