Flint was once a place of promise. Then G.M. moved away. Flint went broke and could no longer afford its police. To save money, the city shuttered its police academy and cut its police force in half. Crime, naturally, doubled: http://nyer.cm/Ip5gAbf pic.twitter.com/RsYfc9FFWn

Crime is not just waiting to gear up because there aren’t enough police. It’s a lot deeper than that and you may be begging the question a bit. Maybe desperation and poverty. Maybe nobody caring about Flint or the people. Maybe treating people like second class citizens

Try giving the Flint residents clean water, an income safety net, educational and training opportunities, and STOP cracking down on misdemeanors. Trump should be focusing on the poor before focusing on the rich.

The auto industry dumped on Detroit and other auto assembly areas. Dumped and left. Like the steel industry in the Midwest. Trump promised no more foreign steel. Never happened.

This tweet seems to suggest that the only determinant of crime is number of police officers.

So we just throw our hands up! Give up! Give in to the corporations, and their regulations? Maybe 'evolution' needs t'give his brother a hand up, then he will not be 'crime' but: Prosperity-Community-Togetherness!

Never give up! We’ve been fighting the system for what seems like forever! We went from “abolishing” slavery to creating prison systems in its place. The system is set up for us, the brown and black People, to fail. We aren’t set to succeed collectively. But times are changing.

And people are taking note.. they’re either following suit or trying to stop it. The world is full of corruption and decide. We can and will fight. But My spiritual belief is God is the only one that can make real necessary changes to eliminate the madness in the world.

Nothing natural about that relationship between police force and crime rate. Learn the difference between correlation and causation. And you WRITE FOR A LIVING!

Police don’t prevent crime, they catch the perpetrator sometimes.

Detroit, now Flint. (I don't suppose anything can be done for then until Trump decides to build a casino in either)
