It is true that the indictment tells us nothing about connections between the Russian efforts and the Trump campaign, and the Trump victory. It is also true that Moscow is laughing, at least in part because the Kremlin had no grand plan to elect Trump.http://nyer.cm/2fUm3jT

It appears not just Trump likes to move the goal posts. “I never said RU didn’t attack us, it’s Obama’s fault”. Spent 2yrs calling RU attack a “conspiracy theory w/imaginary connections”, to anyone. Now, huge 3y operation, $1.2M/mth, doesn’t count... bc RU was bad at it. OOooK?pic.twitter.com/0KGUvmgf2E

While the article is well written and nails the fact as Americans we missed the point of the Russian’s strategy. What the article misses is a similar misunderstanding by Russia of America’s attachment to the rule of law. We don’t view these tactics with a shrug. There is a price.

Moscow didn't have a plan. Trump didn't really want to win. Two types of chaos screwed up an election enough to make the unqualified dangerous candidate win. Now we hope that because they're also both corrupt he can be removed.

It is also true that the Russian propaganda influenced the election and Trump would not have won without it. But those who were duped by Russian bots have no regrets because they got what they wanted.

It's safe to say, the joke's on Russia. Their meddling has prolonged sanctions, turned away foreign investment into their economy.

Of course they didn't have a grand plan to elect him, who could have imagined that a people would be so stupid to (s)elect a man who speaks on a fourth grade level & keeps everything hidden

States facts not in evidence. Just as there’s not yet any proof of collusion between Russia & Trump, there’s no evidence to rule out that electing Trump wasn’t part of Russia’s grand plan. Like writing leg probably was dream but wasn’t expected result. They got their dream.

It is NOT known how many voters slid off the fence onto Trump land! I cannot imagine that the Russians were unable to convince voters and how many? Maybe enough to make a difference especially in swing states!
