On social media, and on live television, the victims of the Parkland shooting were not playing their parts. They were not asking for privacy in their time of grief. They did not think it was “too soon” to bring up the issue of gun control.http://nyer.cm/9EW5GlW

Of course they're not staying silent; their understandably traumatized adolescent illogic is a perfect match for the media's juvenile conception of gun violence. Reporters don't have their excuse; for them it's a cynical exercise in exploitation and propaganda.

Feel for those effected so much. I hope their passions finally fuel change. After Sandy Hook where nothing came of it but an NRA double down -my heart sank.

"While the students & parents speaking up were no more passionate than the young people of, say, the Black Lives Matter movement, it was clear that the political establishment was going to receive them a different way" Kudos for using their privilege to enact change for all.

No tears, no broken hearts, no victims, no reason for law makers to end this problem, no strong society and real actions now, just acceptance and patience left ... USA needs more than hope #TakeAction #LeadTheRight

Give the students more than a camera shot. Give them a voice. They are not afraid to take a stand, they're afraid of tomorrow and a future where lives don't matter but money from the NRA does matter. They're shouting that Congress and Trump need to act now on gun control.

@realDonaldTrump Children have died not adults and it will be the children that will make this country change its rules on how guns are handled. Not the old geezers in the swamp!😕

Good time for people to read "The Fourth Turning" by Neil Howe & William Strauss. It's a generational thing.

They are kids. They don’t know that it’s ‘too soon’. Maybe they will learn by the time they can vote out the craven bastards who refuse to protect them.
