Even if the “America’s Harvest box” proposal is just a fantasy, how telling it is that America’s leaders fantasize in such detail about punishing the poor for being poor.http://nyer.cm/00HS33S

It is VERY telling. He would get rid of an entire class of people, if he could.

Another consequence: would take millions out of local economies (grocery stores, farmers mkts) and run it through fed bureaucracy.

Here's the thing, feed ALL children breakfast and lunch at school. All demographics need good nutrition. Fresh fruits are more important than some boxed items. Make them an item. Stores can help too. Don't use food as a weapon!

It's about not punishing taxpayers. Birth control prevents growth of poverty. There is a problem with our economy and behavior is the starting point. Disconnect from what it takes to feed and house oneself is mind boggling. SNAP steals indepence. #sustainibility #singlemothers

It’s sick but nothing new. GOP politicians have always shown disdain for the poor. This is just the first time they’ve felt empowered to let loose with their true feelings, having assumed their rise to majority status was a mandate. Now we know the election was just rigged.

How is receiving home delivery of free food punishment? Some of these liberals drive this liberal crazy at times. The food is free and home delivery should be a huge timesaver, i mean wouldnt you pay to save that time. Yea you would the gig economy is built on that idea.

You wouldn't have to use Uber to go to the grocery store. Milk, eggs, and fresh produce purchased as needed with the remaining, plus many still get free lunch they throw in the trash. #foodwaste

Not punishing, just preventing fraud that we all know occurs in the welfare system

Thank the liberal progressive #NeoMarxist for perpetuating the poverty of people in America.....may this can help them realize that nothing that comes for free is free....it is stolen from other people.

The local rag runs stories about how the thieves are making a killing off EBT cards. There’s stealing no doubt but what if the focus were reversed, I wonder how much thievery we’d uncover? The program puts you through a questioning. One woman said, “They get up in your grill.”
