The revelations of the Nunes memo are notably thin, to the point of raising questions about why, exactly, the Democrats and the F.B.I. objected so passionately to making it public, adding to the hype along the way. http://nyer.cm/mQl2XnF

Just because to the untrained eye it looks like nothing, it's possible that one tiny detail can expose one of our operatives. They don't just throw around the word "gravely" for nothing.

Maybe they realized when this was released then it was very possible that more info would have to be released to set the record straight. Things like what other information they used to get the FISA warrant.

Because they thought I’d be more detailed? I think the GOP narrowed the memo because they realized they shouldn’t be divulging classified info but wanted to avoid looking like they have egg on their collective faces.

Really? Perhaps it was the fact that the Trump administration was releasing classified intelligence info for political gain?

Americans are worried about the rule of law and Democracy and all of the institutions that used to make America such a special country. That's all.

A good question. However, I do think - at the end of the day - they were upset at the obvious partisan trickery, its incompleteness, and its efforts to taint the investigation. Let’s remember, many Hannityites believe the memo’s intended message as much as we see through it.

To get the White House and Republicans to release it knowing they would do it if they thought the opposition didn’t want them too.

They fell into a Republican trap. Memo got branded "what Dems don't want you to know about the FBI." Trump's base lives off stuff like that.
