Opioids now kill more than 50,000 Americans a year, 10,000 more than AIDS did at the peak of that epidemic: http://nyer.cm/TSU13ZL pic.twitter.com/J1zxcdxI4C

ILLICIT opioids kill the bulk, don't feed into the Rx hysteria that the DEA has bought into. People are who have done well on opioids for years are losing their doctors and being cut off, sometimes killing themselves due to pain.

And yet, @realDonaldTrump put a 24-year-old kid who lied on his resume, and had no experience what so ever, in charge of tackling the opioid epidemic. WTF...

It’s like, unfortunately, the total loss of life during the entire Vietnam conflict - every year! Problem much, America?

False equivalency. How many opioid overdoses are actually suicides? And AIDS victims contracted an unwanted infectious disease—they didn’t choose their fate.

And the Orange Asshole blamed street dealers , rather than big pharma and the Sackler family of New York , makers and marketers of OxyContin

Because Rx opioids have been cut off from many. ILLICIT fentanyl and heroin kill the bulk of people. Yes, Sacklers marketing was ridiculous but we allowed it (and dr's were and still are stupid enough to think they are non-addictive and/or don't need to be tapered)
