Definitely the most important #political story happening now. Everyone who thinks their vote should count should be talking about this. It's a disgrace that is finally being undone. #voting #VotingRights #Gerrymandering

What good is it when states like NC have the court in their pocket. They got a stay so nothing is changing there.

clearly establishes "a reprehensible pattern" of Unconstitutional dimension and, alas, these TWO GOP AGENDAS are inextricably linked to (1) gain an unfair advantage via Gerrymandering and (2) placing undue burdens to voting for minorities in said districts. This Court must ACT.

when, as here, the GOP's redistricting is 'so bizarre on its face' that it is 'unexplainable on grounds other than RACE and POLITICS.' In this regard, the SCOTUS must dispassionately consider how the GOP's affirmative measures to LIMIT MINORITY ACCESS to their VOTING RIGHTS

Tell us, "who else" in the pantheon of U.S. Government has the AUTHORITY- and therefore- the LEGAL DUTY to not only "adjudicate in the interests of Fundamental Fairness," but also to OVERTURN and REBUKE the GOP's "willful disregard" of MANDATORY SCOTUS CASE LAW re same

In related news, this issue has a crucially important subtext. This case- or future challenges in other U.S. Courts with similar facts- is about the Separation of Powers Namely, here the Courts must REDRAW the maps to comport with each voters' RIGHT to Equal Protection of Law.

I sincerely hope gerrymandered districts go the way of the dinosaur. It's outrageously stupid that legislators have any say in drawing their own district lines. What kind of check and balance is that? They should be drawn by an independent third-party. Never Congress.

Perhaps we need to see what position SCOTUS takes before we know how important a political development this will be altho State court decisions such as in PA are also important.
