Luxury clothing brands are tackling poverty by selling expensive clothes? OK. 👍

Not that Connie needs anyone to be proud of her, but I am! She’s a great role model for compassion in action. It’s not just words, it’s the way we live that matters. She works hard to help others. Happy to show support every day! Hugs!!@conniebritton

U would have been prouder if she'd spent that $380 wiser. But A sweater is quite the statement

Nope, 380 for is nothing for a Golden Globe top, much less, cashmere. Some people spend far more than that for a sweater. So proud of my friend!

What planet do you live on? Your friend would have done something useful if she'd donated that money (and a lot more) to people who need it. Wearing expensive clothes that tell other people to share their wealth is about as helpful as spitting in homeless peoples' faces.

Very well put! She's probably a Republican who thinks Paul Ryan's words equate to action in standing up to the constitution

You boys are funny because that sweater was likely one of the least expensive pieces of clothing on the red carpet. She could have worn a diamond encrusted whatever- she didn’t. And she wouldn’t spit it anyone’s face. Neither would I. Working hard to help others. Keep it up!👍🏆

Whataboutism is weak. It doesn't matter how shi**y everyone else's priorities are in the red carpet. It's still unbelievably hypocritical and tone deaf. Directly equivalent to "thoughts and prayers", which you probably believe matter too.

You are very critical of people you don’t have any clue about. My main focus of my work is helping others, food pantry, twinning with a small town in the mountains of Haiti, veterans. Why? What do you do?

Yet another example of capitalism's tendency to transform symbols of political resistance into merchandisable signs and commodities, depriving them of their disruptive potential

What people do not seem to understand is although stars are not poor, they are the ones, with the platform to send a message poor people do not have the platform for their voice to be heard! Someone has to do it!
