“Here’s the truth,” a former senior U.S. intelligence official told @nickschmidle. Pakistan has been “in many ways” America’s best counterterrorism partner, the official said. “Nobody had taken more bad guys off the battlefield than the Pakistanis.”http://nyer.cm/DhwUA9y

A.Q. Khan is the primary reason there is a nuclear standoff with North Korea today, and despite the fact that he gave nuke technology to totalitarian despots with his govt’s consent, he is no longer even under house arrest. That outweighs any number of neutralized “terrorists.”

For our friends in America just some of the ops Pakistan Army has undertaken: Rah-e-Raast (Swat 2009) Rah-e-Nijaat(South Waziristan) Operation Black Thunder (Bajaur Agency) ZarbeAzb (North Waziristan, Khyber etc). Even at this point 150k troops remain deployed at heavy cost.

Pak chose to side with US during Cold War. Pak joined all US Cold War pacts. Pak introduced US to China. Pak ensured USSR thrashing in Afghan. Pak sided with US after 9/11. Pak caught most AQ fighters. Pak still supports US, but all Pak gets is shit. Pak will draw a line soon.

That was when and only when President Musharraf was in office. Pakistan did hide Osama Bin Laden and afterwards punished the Doctor who helped our Military take him out. And, we didn't help that Doctor. Why?
