China has never seen such a moment, when its pursuit of a larger role in the world coincides with America’s pursuit of a smaller one: http://nyer.cm/8VxZApP pic.twitter.com/YWu5jQoCH1

The China brand is still far weaker than the USA brand around the world. My frequent travels in developing countries--Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, Vietnam, and more--have shown me folks are wary of China and its interference. It will take more than 4 years of Trump to undo this.

It will take forever, America is too powerful now and even 8 years of Trump presidency won't affect that

The future of the world leadership will be based on more competition in global business not populism Mr. Trump is offering like broken promiss to patriots.

I'm african, and it seems much like China got the game here going. Can't remember the last time anyone bought from the Americans other than guns and crashed cars.

you do know China was already a world empire 2000 years before America even existed? An American “never” is worth about 50-70 years at most.https://twitter.com/NewYorker/status/952646636198662146 …

The GOP is so foolish they can't see that were conceding markets all over the world to China. Started with backing out of TPP. Little England, isolated U.S., Putin's dream.

It'll take a long time to fix the damage a Trump passage to power will cause to America. Shortening that time requires organising to #FlipCongress in 2018 and #RehabilitateAmerica
