I'd like to know stats on older people having heart attacks, traffic accidents from citizens fleeing the city, parents rushing to schools where their kids were, etc. Hopefully, there were no fatalities.

Here in Japan we're teaching our kids what to do in case of a missile strike. J-alert it is called. It is surreal though I appreciate the desire to have control over whatever aspect we can in such a dire situation. And to live in a place where this is still just a drill.

No doubt we can all be comforted by the Politico report that had WH aides frantically calling different agencies to see what they were supposed to do. One year into this administration and 120+ days of golf.

Most interesting part of the article is that the author’s daughter’s name is George, forever forcing him to include “my daughter” after mentioning her in anything written.

The thought that alarms me is if people begin to think future alerts are all false alarms too if a real threat has happened. The boy who cried wolf effect.

good thing no one in washington (who might have a twitchy finger and the initials DJT) heard about this. makes one wonder if this is how this is all going to go down.
