Many Mexicans consider eating tortillas cold a waste, like using Veuve Clicquot for mouthwash. You need to warm them to unlock their flavor, their elasticity.http://nyer.cm/vpD021m

And if you’ve only had the thick, pre-cooked ones, then you’ve never had a flour tortilla. Buy the raw tortillas in the refrigerated section. It takes seconds to cook them in a skillet. Use a little oil, too. You’re welcome.

We, in Texas, are lucky to have the best of Texas culture and Mexican culture. Texas Mexican food is different from the food of Mexico, as you said in your article. Here is a photo of an appetizer, “Tortilla Pinwheels”. Made with cream cheese, onions, jalapeños, olives. Cold.pic.twitter.com/rgDqEAc2xr

My mom's kitchen still has the best flour and corn homemade tortillas!!! You can eat them plain or spread a title butter on them or some queso fresco. Voilà
